The Company's policy with regard to extending the network of its stores is based on the premise that there must be one store in each medium-sized and big city in Greece covering the country's geographical trade at 95%. The Company is interested in finding new locations for its stores. The specifications of the property needed (for purchase or rent) are as follows: Building covering an area of : 2.500-3.500 sq.m, 5 meters high on the inside, on a single level or a piece of land where it will be possible to erect such a building. The site must be located in a city or its suburbs, on a central highway with easy and comfortable parking facilities. METRO is interested in creating Cash & Carry stores in all the major cities in Greece where it is not present as yet.
